Liverpool vs Watford
Liverpool 2 – 0 Watford
This should be a walkover for Liverpool. They’ve not conceded in their last four games, and Watford are struggling for form. Although impressive against Arsenal and Southampton, we think Liverpool will be too big of a challenge for Watford.
Brighton vs Norwich
Brighton 2 – 2 Norwich
This fixture screams boring. Both Brighton and Norwich have lost their last six games. Brighton have only scored one in their last five. Both teams will feel like they could grab some points here, so even though it looks boring on paper. We may be treated to some goals.
Burnley vs Man City
Burnley 0 – 4 City
A disappointing draw to Palace last time out means City’s title hopes may not be guaranteed. They’ll be looking to bounce back in a big way and there’s no better opponent than a fragile Burnley side.
A point here for Burnley would be huge. It’s very close at the bottom of the league and Burnley will need to take advantage of their games in hand.
Chelsea vs Brentford
Chelsea 4 – 0 Brentford
Nothing has changed with Chelsea’s on pitch performances. They look the real deal, and this should be an easy 3 points for them. Brentford have only won once in their last ten games, which was against Norwich, arguably the worst team in the league. They’ll be looking to improve after the break, but we struggle to see them doing anything against a very strong Chelsea side.
Leeds vs Southampton
Leeds 2 – 1 Southampton
Leeds have shown more fight since Jesse Marsch took the reins. They’ll have their sights on a third win in a row against a Southampton side that seem to be struggling. This looks like the perfect opportunity for Leeds to grab a few more points.
Wolves vs Aston Villa
Wolves 1 – 1 Aston Villa
After their last match, losing 3-2 to Leeds after being 2-0 up, Wolves will want to get their campaign back on track and continue their pursuit of a European spot. Having lost 4 out of their last 6 league games though they may face some challenges. Villa are no push over. Although seemingly nothing to play for, Villa will be looking to cement a top half finish.
Man Utd vs Leicester
Prediction:
United 1 – 1 Leicester
Ronaldo’s superb hat-trick in United’s last game has marred the fact that their recent league form has not been good. The international break could not have come at a better time for them. Hopefully they’ve regrouped and will try and fight harder for a Champions League spot.
Despite their European success, Leicester have been average at best in the Premier League. They only have two wins away from home in the last 10 games. They’ll be hoping the lack of fear factor at Old Trafford will enable them to grab a point.
West Ham vs Everton
Prediction:
West Ham 3 – 0 Everton
West Ham’s League form recently has been mixed. Their home form has been good, unbeaten in the last 5. The Champions League spots may have just gotten out of reach, but they’ll be looking to cement themselves into a Europa League position with a nice win here.
Bar the win against Newcastle, Everton have looked abysmal. Conceding 4 to Palace in their last game, they need something to change, and change quick. Richarlison found the net for Brazil over the international break which will hopefully give him the confidence to bag a few for the Toffees.
West Ham should win this. They’ll have to shake off the bad juju of only winning one home game against Everton in their last 15 games, but this should be fairly straightforward for them.
Tottenham vs Newcastle
Prediction:
Spurs 2– 1 Newcastle
With a few blips, Spurs have been impressive as of late. The whole team seems to be clicking and we’re seeing goals galore like the Tottenham of recent years. There will be goals this game. The past two games between the sides have resulted in 9 goals. There has not been a 0-0 draw in over 20 years.
Newcastle’s form has faltered with losses to Everton and Chelsea. No doubt the Everton loss was hard to take with the two teams battling it out in a relegation scrap.
Newcastle will be up for this game. They’ve done well to get themselves out of immediate danger and will want to keep improving. Bruno Guimaraes was on fire for Brazil over the international break. Let’s hope he carries his form over to the Premier League.
Crystal Palace vs Arsenal
Prediction:
Palace 0 – 2 Arsenal
Palace could be without Zaha and Olise on Monday. Both suffered injuries during the international break, both have been crucial to their cup run and recent Premier League form. Without the two eccentric players, it’s hard to see Palace creating much.
Arsenal have only lost once (Liverpool) since February and have only conceded 3 goals in their last 6 away games. This looks like an easy 3 points for Arsenal. That being said, the last 4 out of 5 games between the two sides have ended in a draw.
